BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Captain James M. Krasno

James Krasno became interested in scheduling during his 4 years flying Hueys for the Army. Upon being hired by United Airlines in 1969, he started working with scheduling committees. He completed his degree in computer science in 1985, and has used his computer knowledge developing the first of the pilot bidding programs, pairing and line analysis programs. He served as Denver's local schedule committee chairman and as a member of the System Schedule Committee. He was a member of the QWL Committee that negotiated the working conditions implemented in the 2000 pilot contract. He retired in Denver in 2002 after flying Captain on the 737-300, 767, and 747-200. He resides in Centennial, Colorado with his wife, Nancy Nelson.
