BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION Captain Gerard Terstiege

Jerry began his retirement from United on 1/1/01. His final trip was from SFO to JFK in a B-767. He was hired by United in November, 1969 after working as a design and construction engineer for several years in southern California (BCE, CCNY,1963). After recall from furlough in 1978, Jerry became active in local ALPA committees.

He was elected as SFO S/O Representative for two terms, 1987 through 1991, then to the MEC Retirement and Insurance Committee, becoming Chairman of the Committee from 1998 through January, 2001. Coincidentally with histerm on the R & I Committee, he was a member and then Chairman of the UAL ESOP Committee.

Jerry also served as a member of the ALPA National Steering Committee, 1993 through 2000.

He resides with his wife Krista in Foster City, California.
