To All My Fellow Retirees, List Members and Friends,

This is the MOST important message I have ever sent to you.  Please read it and take it as serious as anything you have ever done in your life then circulate this letter to everyone that you can.   Convince them to help us.

The Republican Leadership in the US House of Representatives has decided to push for a vote on HR 2830 and it will most likely be scheduled for Thursday, December 15.

It is absolutely IMPERATIVE that each and every one of you, all your friends, all of your family, all of your peers, contact each person’s Congressman with the following message:

Vote NO on HR 2830, which does nothing to preserve the pensions at United Airlines

And

Vote YES on the Democratic Substitute Bill (Miller–Rangel) that WILL save the pensions at United Airlines

All of your work for the last year has paid off.   WE FINALLY HAVE A BILL THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO SAVE THE PENSIONS AT UNITED AIRLINES.

This bill if passed will restore the pensions at United Airlines while United Airlines is required to prove in court that they can not in fact afford to maintain these pensions under new stringent guidelines stated in the Miller-Rangel substitute bill.

This is the best opportunity we have had to have our pensions restored and preserved.  It is now up to you!  Call your Congressman, ASAP, and give him the above message.

For all the Fax4Word users:   Please use the previously supplied database and start sending a constant stream of faxes to ALL the Congressmen with the above message.  Continue to do so until you hear that the vote has been taken.

Do this as though your pension relies on it, because it does.
